Half day :
The artificial harbour at Arromanches : admire the remains of the artificial harbour and wonder at the unbelievable technical challenge that led to the successful D-Day Landing.
German battery at Longues-sur-Mer : four casemates and a range-finding post, these rare remains of the Atlantic Wall with the weapons still in place shed light on the German defense strategy.
Omaha Beach : Bloody Omaha, one of the deadliest beaches.
American cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer : overlooking Omaha Beach, 70 hectares with 9,387 white crosses in perfect lines.
Full day (more the previous sites) :
Pointe du Hoc : symbolising the courage of the young American soldiers, this is an area that testifies to the intensity of the fighting.
German cemetery at La Cambe : over 7 hectares, the bodies of 21,300 soldiers who died in battle.
Depending on the group’s interests and nationality, we can also adapt the circuit to spend more time in a specific sector : English (Pegasus Bridge, Gold and Sword Beach), Canadian (Juno Beach) or American (Omaha and Utah Beach).
