The Museum of Normandy, a museum of history and society fullof important archaeological and ethnographical collections, presents an overview of regional people’s lives throughout Normandy, from prehistoric times to the great migrations in the high Middle Ages, and from changing rural areas to the first upheavals of industrial society.
Comprehensive programme of activities for all audiences: commented tours, discovery trails, educational workshops, organised activities and shows. Gift shop.

2011 Exhibitions :
- March/April : “Singing, playing, dancing... Musical traditions in Normandy (18th-20th c.)”
- April/May : “On the spot : Works of Daniel Juré”.
911-2011 : 1100th anniversary of Normandy :
- June-October : “Viking Russia, towards another Normandy (8th-15th c.)”
- November : “Normandy and Hordaland (woodwork skills). Franco-Norwegian Cooperation”.

Opening hours
Open everyday from 9:30am to 6pm
Closed on Tuesday from 01/01 to 05/31 and from 11/01 to 12/31 and some bank holidays

2010 rates for information :
Starting from €3.
Pass’murailles : visit both of the castle’s museums all year round for €15.
Reduced rates and free entry criteria: information at the museum.
